Adagio Health continues women veteran initiative
Adagio Health reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to serving women veterans through the Women Veterans’ Care Initiative, a program that ensures veterans can access comprehensive health and wellness services at no cost, no matter their insurance.
The Women Veterans’ Care Initiative covers out-of-pocket costs such as co-pays, transportation, supplies and program materials for eligible patients in Butler, Fayette, Indiana, Lawrence and Venango counties. Adagio Health also accepts most insurance plans, including TRICARE, and many services are available free regardless of coverage, according to a news release from the agency.
Adagio Health is recognized by PsychArmor as a “Veteran Ready Organization” and incorporates trauma-informed practices across its care model.
Army veteran Amanda Smith, Adagio Health’s Women Veterans’ Care navigator, provides personalized support to help veterans connect with medical care, mental health resources and community programs. Smith is a certified mental health first aid worker for veterans and military families instructor, as well as an advocate for women who have served, according to Adagio Health.
