D. Bradley Schroth
D. Bradley Schroth, born July 23, 1958, died Thursday in a Pittsburgh hospital after a long illness. He was 55 years old.
Brad attended Butler County Easter Seals and the West End School, before graduating from the Pathfinder School in Bethel Park in 1979. He was a longtime resident of the Southwinds Inc. group home in Bethel Park and worked at the Allegheny County Achieva Workshop until his illness.
Brad was an avid sports fan and was excited to see his beloved Pirates make the playoffs. He enjoyed attending live theater and going to dances with friends. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and his love for family and friends. He was a member of the Ruthfred Lutheran Church in Bethel Park.
Brad is survived by his mother, Joanne Y. Schroth of Bridgeville; one sister, Terry and brother-in-law Doug Anderson of Butler; Aunt Sharon and Uncle Dick Yost Jr.; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Schroth; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Louise Yost; and his paternal grandmother, Ruby Schroth.
SCHROTH — Friends of D. Bradley Schroth, who died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steven P. Carlson of the Ruthfred Lutheran Church officiating.
Private burial will take place in the Gruenwald Cemetery.
