Margaret A. 'Marge' Schessler

Margaret Schessler

Margaret A. “Marge” Schessler, 90, passed away Friday at Allegheny General Hospital.

Born on Sept. 21, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Anna Momper Raida.

Marge was a loyal member of the St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church, a member of Christian Mothers at the church and a member of the AARP Mars Chapter.

She was a beloved wife, mother and sister who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 66 years, John V. Schessler, who she married on April 7, 1948; her son, John V. Schessler Jr. and his wife, Darlene, of North Hills; her two brothers, Robert C. Raida and his wife, Joanna, of Pittsburgh and Rudolph C. Raida Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Sewickley; her sister, Patricia Raida of Warren, Ohio; her granddaughter, Corrie Schessler of Butler; and her grandson, James Schessler and his wife, Darlene, of Ross Township.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia L. Lewis.

Main St., Evans City.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church, 417 E. Main St., Evans City.
