Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., features Asian art and German Meissen porcelain. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8 accompanied by an adult. Call 724-282-0123 or visit maridon.org.

Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., offers tours from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $3 for youths 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

The gazebo at Passavant House, 243 S. Main St., was recently completed as part of a project to enhance the lawn area. Tours of the 1808 Passavant House and garden as well as the 1805 Buhl House are available at 9:30 a.m. Mondays through Fridays.

PITTSBURGH

Fort Pitt Museum, Point State Park, presents “From Maps to Mermaids: Carved Powder Horns in Early America” through Jan. 14. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, $4 for retired and active military, and $3.50 for children 6 to 17. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Call 412-454-6415.

Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., hosts 50 works by members of the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators as part of the new exhibition, “Art of Facts/Uncovering Pittsburgh Stories.” Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $16 for adults, $14 for senior citizens, and $6.50 for children 6 to 17. Call 412-454-6000.

Children’s Museum, Allegheny Square, is closed Thursday for maintenance and staff training. Regular hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily resume Friday. “Hands-On Harley-Davidson” concludes Sunday. “Tough Art” opens Sept. 14. Admission is $16 for adults and $14 for children 2 to 18 and senior citizens. Call 412-322-5058.

Carnegie Museum of Natural History, 4400 Forbes Ave., is expanding Sunday hours to 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free admission days are planned Sept. 17 and 23, Oct. 15, and Nov. 19. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. except closed Tuesdays. Extended hours are until 8 p.m. Thursdays. Admission is $19.95 for adults, $14.95 for senior citizens, and $11.95 for children 3 to 18. Carnegie Science Center, North Side, begins fall/winter hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily on Saturday. Admission is $18.95 for adults and $11.95 for children 3 to 12. Call 412-237-3400.
