Library will host apiary discussionCRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, hosts the Cranberry Township Community Apiary presented by Mason Miller at 6 p.m. Sept. 19.Cranberry’s Pollinator Garden is designed to be a community resource for education about pollination and beekeeping. A part of Cranberry Highlands’ Audubon Sanctuary certification program, the garden provides a bee-friendly habitat adjacent to the municipal golf course for honey beehive placement and instruction.Attendees will learn how to become involved with the apiary, including how to become a bee keeper or sponsor.Seating is limited. Hospital alumni reunion set Sept. 10GROVE CITY — The 34th annual Bashline Hospital Alumni Reunion will be at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 10 at Eat ’n Park, 1911 Leesburg Grove City Road.Lunch is at noon. Free concert, ice cream at SuccopButler County Community College’s Succop Theater in its 2019-20 season will entertain guests with ballet dancers, multicultural performers, brass musicians, up-and-coming international a cappella singers, and five concerts by The Pittsburgh Philharmonic — the first of which is free.The Sunday season preview show by the Philharmonic — whose 40 musicians will perform pops, classical and other genres with stringed instruments such as violins, violas and cellos and with wind instruments such as flutes, oboes and bassoons — will begin at 3 p.m. and be followed by free ice cream.The season preview is limited to seating capacity in the 442-seat Succop Theater.
