James D. McCarrier
James D. McCarrier, 80, currently a resident at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, formerly of Brockway, Pa., died on Monday at the Manor.
Born in Butler on Nov. 12, 1937, he was the son of the late Ronald and Helen Milheim McCarrier.
On Nov. 22, 1958, he was married to Carole Doolittle and she survives and resides in DuBois.
Jim started out his career at Karns City High School teaching English. He then moved on to Titusville High School and later on to West Liberty University. After that, Jim taught at DuBois High School and ended his career and retired from the DuBois Business College.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and also was a member of several educational groups. He was president of the Brockway Historical Society and enjoyed genealogy.
In addition to his wife, Carole, he is also survived by two daughters, Deborah (Robert) Beach of Newnan, Ga.; Patricia (Martin) Gerke of Ravenna, Ohio; two sons, Wayne McCarrier of Mill Brook, N.Y., and David (Stacey) McCarrier of South Williamsport, Pa.; and his seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
MCCARRIER — There will be no visitation for James D. McCarrier, who died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017.
