Diane 'Dee' Lynn Faber

Diane “Dee” Lynn Faber, 54, of Butler died peacefully at 7:30 a.m. Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice with her family by her side.

She was born July 10, 1957, in Butler, to the late Charles Stewart and Helen Green Stewart.

Diane graduated from Butler High School in 1975.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of American Drum & Bugle Corps. When living in Fort Myers, Fla., she was part of the honor guard and color guard of the American Legion Post 38 of Fort Myers. She was the first woman accepted into the color guard. She also served two terms as auxiliary president of the VFW Post 2444 of Fort Myers.

Diane was very patriotic and loved her country.

Diane is survived by her husband, George; two daughters, Carrie Bauer of Fort Myers, Fla., and Yvonne Del Fratte and her husband, Chris, of Sharpsville; three sons, Joseph Bauer, serving in the U.S. Army and his wife, Karen, Thomas Bauer and his wife, Lauren, of East Butler and Matthew Faber of Meadville; two brothers, Joseph Stewart and his wife, Becky, of Temple, Texas, and Dennis Stewart and his wife, Belinda, of Butler; one sister, Sandy Dimit and her husband, Scott, of Butler; a sister-in-law, Peggy Stewart of Butler, 11 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Pete Stewart.
