PHILADELPHIA — Students at La Salle University say exotic dancers were part of a professor's extra-credit symposium on business ethics.

Officials at the private Roman Catholic school in Philadelphia say they are investigating the March 21 seminar, which ended abruptly after the business school's dean showed up.

Students say the dancers kept their clothes. Sophomore Brad Bernardino told a television station Monday that one dancer gave a lap dance to assistant management professor Jack Rappaport.

Rappaport did not respond to an emailed request for comment.

La Salle spokesman Joseph Donovan would not comment on Rappaport's status while the investigation continues. Students say they have a new teacher.

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh City Council was scheduled to introduce legislation to save the Pittsburgh Penguins former arena from demolition by declaring it a historic structure.The city's Historic Review and planning commissions have already rejected such a designation, meaning council must pass any resolution with at least a veto-proof 6-3 majority to save the Civic Arena.The Penguins have development rights to the old arena site and want to raze it to build a mix of residences and businesses on the 28-acre site across the street from their new home, the Consol Energy Center.

GREENSBURG — A constable known for serving arrest warrants in a van decorated with a Pittsburgh Steelers theme has been charged with wrongly repossessing vehicles and illegally collecting payments from owners.Forty-six-year-old Hubert Coleman was arraigned Monday before a district judge on charges of bribery and official oppression.
