2 arrested after allegedly overdosing in front of children in Summit Township

Two adults were charged with counts of child endangerment after allegedly overdosing on narcotics in the presence of multiple children at a Summit township residence.

Nathan Kyle Frndak, 44, and Jessica Leigh Bisigano, 36, were arrested by Saxonburg police Thursday night, Oct. 23, after allegedly being found unconscious due to the use of illegal narcotics.

According to an affidavit, police responded to a call from one of the children and discovered the two adults at a Mitchell Hill Road residence overdosing in the presence of three children, including two around the ages of 2 years old.

Butler Ambulance, East Butler Ambulance and Herman Fire Department also responded.

The affidavit said firefighters discovered “a lot” of drug paraphernalia in the bedroom where Frndak and Bisigano were discovered. After firefighters told police about the paraphernalia, Frndak told a police officer to leave and confronted police before being placed in handcuffs.

Bisigano told police she and Frndak “snorted some pills.” Police said they then discovered a cash register tray filled with bags of narcotics in another bedroom.

After being placed in a patrol car, Frndak lost consciousness again and had to be revived with narcan, according to police. He was then transported to Butler Memorial Hospital, while Bisigano was taken to the county jail.

Charges against the two include three felony counts of child endangerment, along with several misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 4 in front of District Judge Lewis Stoughton.
