Lutherlyn Saturday Safaris designed for families, individuals and groups will have a program on maple syrup time from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:30 p.m. March 7 at Camp Lutherlyn, 500 Lutherlyn Lane. The program will feature winter tree identification, tapping a maple tree, collecting sap and observing the evaporation process. Dress for the weather. Registration is due by Monday. An adult must be responsible for all children. Cost is $5 per person; children age 4 and younger are admitted free. The fee includes snacks and beverages. Jennings Environmental Education Center will be the site of "Eating Green Isn't Just About Vegetables" at 2 p.m. March 8. Jennings staff, members of the Northwest Pennsylvania Growers Cooperative, and others in regional food production will challenge the audience to consider the foods they eat. <B>Wagman Winterfest</B>, the 16th annual winter star party sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, will start with solar viewing at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park, Frazer Township. Visitors can take their own telescopes or use ones available at Wagman. The event is held weather permitting.
