Harrisville Community Band to celebrate 60th anniversary with free concert
Harrisville Community Band will be celebrating its first 60 years of making music with a free concert.
The 35-member band will be performing at 7 p.m. Oct. 31, at the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Hall, 313 E. Mercer St.
The band will perform “His Honor March,” “Military Escort March,” “Helena Polka,” “Mamma Mia,” “All Things Bright and Beautiful” and a few Halloween-themed selections.
Refreshments will be available during an intermission.
Two current members, Judy Critchlow and Karen McKnight, were part of the founding band in 1965.
