Butler County Symphony awarded $10,000 grant
The Butler County Symphony Orchestra’s annual “Music Under the Stars” concert will be funded by an America250PA grant this year.
While dates for the 2026 concert has not been announced, the $10,000 grant from America250PA’s second semiquincentennial grant round will help draw more locals and tourists to the concert.
“We are proud to support this incredible concert event as partners of the Butler County Symphony,” said Amy Pack, president of Experience Butler County. “The proud performance of patriotic pieces is a perfect way to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence — and to engage our neighbors in meaningful ways that reflect our shared values while pointing toward a hopeful future.”
America250PA was established by the governor and general assembly in 2018 to plan for the 250th birthday of the United States.
“It’s thrilling to see so many Pennsylvania communities and organizations stepping up with meaningful, engaging and inspiring plans as we approach the semiquincentennial,” said Cassandra Coleman, the executive director of America250PA. “These grants are giving Pennsylvanians the tools to come together, remember where we’ve been and imagine what comes next.”
