Police: Wet conditions led to Oct. 7 crash between school bus and car
Wet road conditions led to the crash on Tuesday, Oct. 7, between a school bus and a passenger vehicle in Donegal Township, which sent one student on the bus to a hospital.
Police said a 5-year-old boy suffered a head laceration and was transported to a hospital following the crash, which was between a Chevrolet Express and Toyota Camry around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday on Conerty Road, north of Rattigan Road.
A 10-year-old boy involved in the crash was uninjured, police said.
Police said the Chevrolet Express, driven by Jennifer G. Clingensmith, 40, of Chicora, was stopped at Rattigan Road and spun its tires when attempting to turn onto Conerty Road.
Police said Richard A. Turner, 68, of Chicora, the driver of the Toyota Camry, applied the brakes but wet conditions caused him to lose control going down a hill and led to him striking the back of the school bus.
