Charles F. Eisel
Charles F. Eisel, 86, of Mars, formerly of Valencia and McCandless Township, died the morning of May 29 at the LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born in Aliquippa on Aug. 14, 1923, he was the son of the late August Fred and Lillie Smith Eisel.
Chuck was a used-car dealer in Valencia and had been in the Masonic Order.
He was a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a prisoner of war and was awarded a Purple Heart.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Caruso and her husband, Jerry, of Cincinnati, and Linda Eisel of Port Orange, Fla. He was the grandfather of Ryan and Jeffrey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacquelyn Devin Eisel, who he married Dec. 29, 1943, and who died on Dec. 27, 1995.
