Marjorie L. Salonus, 82, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, formerly of Wickenburg, Ariz., and Hopewell Township, died Wednesday morning at UPMC Passavant hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in South Heights, Beaver County, Jan. 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Cora Erwin Newell.

Surviving are a son, William Salonus Jr. of Greenfield, Wis.; two daughters, Sandra Maitland of North Versailles and Mary Rockwell and her husband, Michael, of Middlesex Township; and two sisters, Florence Lang of Aliquippa and Mona Hooton of Beaver. Also surviving are six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Salonus, who she married July 22, 1957, and who died Feb. 27, 2010.
