Russell Leroy Fox
Russell Leroy Fox, 71, of Butler, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Monday at VA Butler Healthcare.
He was born Dec. 9, 1944, in Butler, the son of the late Ernest and Katherine (Knepp) Fox.
Russell served as an aviation machinist in the United States Navy. He had worked as a security guard for the Butler Auto Auction and enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his daughter, Amy (Fox) Bellomy and her husband, Thomas, of Rotterdam, N.Y.; two sons, Jeffrey Fox and his wife, Christa, of Murrietta, Calif. and Eric Fox and his wife, Linda, of Cornesh, Maine; grandchildren, Brittany Defini, Nicholas and Dylan Bellomy and Abigail, Jacob and Ryan Fox; great-granddaughter, Christine Defini; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Grace) Flanigan of Kittanning, Mrs. Lewis (Viola “Sue”) Biffaretti of Butler and Mrs. Russell (Sandra) Kuriger of Butler; a brother, Ernest “Red” Fox of Butler; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Barile and brother, Herbert “Herb” Fox.
