Helena R. Zimmerman, 86, of Allentown, Lehigh County, died Tuesday.

Her husband of 42 years, Arthur R. Zimmerman Jr., died in 2005.

Born in Butler, she was the daughter of John Roth Sr. and Goldie Moore.

She taught Sunday school in many areas of Pennsylvania, and she was a gospel song writer. She also served as director of the Keenagers, a senior citizen group of the Allentown Missionary Church.

She was a member of the Race Street Baptist Church, Catasauqua, Lehigh County.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
