Erich L. Kaltenhauser

Erich L. Kaltenhauser, 58, of Butler passed away Thursday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 27, 1957, in Harrison Township, he was the son of Robert Kaltenhauser and Janyce Grenet Kaltenhauser.

Erich was a self-employed writer. He was a member of the Populist Party. He enjoyed German cars and motorcycles, guns and shooting and was a huge fan of the Knoch High School football team.

Surviving are his wife, Melody Perfors Kaltenhauser, three sons, Karl Kaltenhauser, Dietrich Kaltenhauser, at home, and Michael Rogers of Clintonville; his daughter, Heidi Kaltenhauser at home; and his father, Robert of Cabot; two sisters, Heidi Kaltenhauser of Prospect, Ky., and Gretchen (Michael) Kurzawa of Oakmont.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

KALTENHAUSER — There will be no visitation for Erich Kaltenhauser, who died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016.A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Main Street.
