The Butler Lions Club honored three members of the Butler community with its “Heart of a Lion” awards on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Receiving the awards were Robert Emigh from Emigh Jewelry, Josi Nebel from The Blind Association of Butler and Armstrong, and Wendy Hazlet from the Moniteau Food Pantry and North Washington Rodeo.

Past district governor Thomas Toland presented the honors, following a dinner and description of the many activities of the award winners.

A donation was given, by the Lions Club, to an organization that each individual chose.
