To us he was someone special

And we miss him more each day,

Was the day he passed away.

He has left a treasured memory,

And sorrow too great to be told,

But to us who loved and lost him,

His memory will never grow old.

Our hearts still ache with sadness,

Our eyes shed many a tear,

God knows how much we miss him,

As we begin another year.
