The Butler County Recital Series inaugural concert is Sept. 16. Performing will be violinist Tanya Satteson, concertmistress of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra, and pianist Nancy DeSalvo.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. Tickets are available at www.butlercountyrecitalseries.org.

ADAMS TWP — The 17th Adams Township Community Day is planned for 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the community park.
Food trucks and nonprofit groups will be selling food.
A Fueled by Fire 5K Race and Walk will begin at 9 a.m. at the park.
Entertainment will include Dancing Queen, The hEARd Matthews Band and the headliner, North of Mason Dixon Band, will perform between 1 and 6 p.m.
Games and children’s activities are scheduled, and fireworks will end the day and be provided by Little Bigshots.
[naviga:h3]Nature art show to open[/naviga:h3]
The annual Nature and Wildlife Art show opens Wednesday and will have a reception Sept. 15 at the Butler Art Center, 344 S. Main St.
Refreshments and music are planned for the reception from 7 to 9 p.m.
The exhibit will continue through Sept. 30.
Regular hours at the center are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

[naviga:h3]Church hosts comedy night[/naviga:h3]
Comedian Ken Davis and entertainer Paul Aldrich will perform at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at Butler Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road.
The standup show opens with Aldrich, doing his musical impressions. Aldrich can be heard on Laugh USA Radio and Showtime. He also performs at The Improv and gives hundreds of live performances each year.
Headlining will be Ken Davis, known for his daily two-minute radio show, “Lighten Up!” airing on Christian radio stations.

MONROEVILLE — The seventh Invitational Fall Coin Show will be Friday through Sunday at the Monroeville Convention Center.
Dealers will feature foreign and U.S. coins and paper money; gold, silver and platinum coins; tokens and medals; proof sets; and mint sets.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

BUTLER TWP — The 20th annual Alameda Septemberfest will feature a fishing tournament, car cruise, 5K, and craft and vendor show Sept. 24 at Alameda Park.
Also planned are games, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, live music and entertainment. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
