Janet Humenik

Janet Kay Hamilton Humenik, 59, of Slippery Rock passed away Sunday afternoon at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford following an illness.

Born Dec. 24, 1958, in Jackson, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Garth Frank and Margaret Rose Ankney Hamilton.

She was Catholic by faith.

Janet was a field service engineer at the General Motors Corp.

She loved gardening and always told friends she was green from her thumb to her elbow! She was very creative with crafts, painting, making things and sewing. She enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and going to amusement parks.

She is survived by her loving significant other, Christopher Hatfield; her sons, Christian James Humenik and Jacob Garth Humenik, both of Oakdale; four sisters; and seven brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garth and Marilyn Hamilton and Margaret Ankney Curtis; and one brother.

HUMENIK — The family of Janet Kay Hamilton Humenik, who died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Edward L.
