Gerald L. Rabbitt
Gerald L. Rabbitt, 82, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away Saturday morning at the Chapel Hill Community of Canal Fulton in Ohio.
He was born in Chicora, Oct. 16, 1925, to John and Cora Goldinger Rabbitt.
After high school, Jerry became a driver for a feed mill in Butler. He also was a former employee of Tyson Roller Bearings.
Jerry had a passion for driving trucks and was the founder of Rabbitt Trucking in Canal Fulton, which later became North Canton Transfer.
Jerry loved music and dancing and was an avid collector of antique cars. He especially loved convertibles and his Cadillacs.
He was a member in the fourth degree of the Knights of Columbus 544, the Eagles 190 and the Elks 441. He also was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia J. Beebe (Rabbitt), who passed in July 2007; four sisters, and three brothers.
Surviving are his spouse, Mary (O'Donnell) Rabbitt, his wife of 65 wonderful years; two sons, Richard L. and Ruby Rabbitt of North Lawrence, Ohio, and Jeffrey and Stacy Rabbitt of North Canton; a daughter, Cindy L. Rogers (Rabbitt) of Massillon; a sister, Velma Graham of Erie; a son-in-law, James Beebe of Massillon, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to everyone at Chapel Hill nursing home for their care and effort, also to Sue Stephan for her kindness and to Fred Scoville for his frequent visits and friendship.

<B>RABBITT</B> — Friends and loved ones of Gerald L. Rabbitt, who died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Paquelet Funeral Home</B>, Massillon. Father Raymond Paul will have a closing prayer at 8 p.m.In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials be made to the Alzheimer' Society.
