State police Troop D shared the results of Operation Nighthawk, a DUI enforcement initiative that was conducted over the weekend.

According to a news release, 714 traffic stops were conducted by 97 participating police officers across Butler, Erie, Jefferson and Washington counties. In total, 53 people were arrested for driving under the influence, and 24 were arrested for drug-related charges.

More than 200 citations and nearly 600 warnings were issued by police during the operation.
