John D. Young Sr.
John D. Young Sr., 82, of Valencia died Monday afternoon at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born in Butler on July 26, 1929, he was the son of the late John B. and Nora Hepler Young.
John was a retired steelworker for LTV Steel in Hazelwood.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Lord and her husband, William, of Smethport, Pa.; two sons, Robert Young and his wife, Sharon, of Hanover and John Young and his wife, Fay, of Avonmore; his grandchildren, Corrie, Mary, John and Robert; and his great-granddaughter, Ashley Rose.

Young Sr., who died Monday, May 14, 2012, will be received at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. A service will follow at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Bowen, pastor of the Middlesex Presbyterian Church, officiating. The burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mt.
