Yolanda Zeek

Yolanda Zeek, 86, of Butler, formerly of New Eagle, Pa., died Sunday in Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

She was born March 21, 1927, in Brownsville, Pa., the daughter of Paul and Angelina Panecasa DiDominic.

While Yolanda was a resident of New Eagle, she owned and operated a ceramic store out of her home where she taught classes and sold ceramics. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Monongahela.

She is survived by her son, Paul Macala and his wife, Amy, of Southington, Conn.; a daughter, Debra Hulick and her husband, Frank, of Butler; five grandchildren, Sara Bly, Lindsay Boben, Ashley Archer, Brian Hulick and Megan Gundy; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dominic DiDominic and his wife, Lucy, of Connecticut.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Zeek, who died Jan. 15, 1998; and her son, Joseph Macala.

ZEEK — Friends of Yolanda Zeek, who died Sunday, June 23, 2013, will be received from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Frye Funeral Home, 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Charles officiating.Entombment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the mausoleum chapel at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carnegie Library, Pittsburgh Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, 4400 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
