Seneca Valley girls tennis won its first section match of the season, beating Shaler 5-0 to improve to 1-1 in its section.
Payton Godleski won the Singles 1 matchup 6-0, 6-0, Singles 2 Jenna Muenck won 6-1, 6-3, and Ella Marley (S3) nearly matched Godleski with a 6-0, 6-1 win.
The doubles pairs of Evie Miske/Autumn Zacherl and Alivia Metz/Imogen Culley swept their matchups.
North Allegheny 5, Butler 0 — The Golden Tornado picked up just three game wins, falling in straight sets in every matchup. Butler No. 3 Singles Lindsay Lipp gave the strongest fight, falling to Alexi Richey 6-0, 6-2.
Lukas Singh and Jackson Geiger each shot 35 to lead Mars to a narrow 187-188 win over Shady Side Academy at Pittsburgh National Golf Club.
Landon Mitro (37) and Jaxon Hittle (39) also carded rounds below 40.
