Walter "Whitey" F. Szczepaniak, 86, of the West End, Pittsburgh, died Tuesday.

He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Regina (Elter) Szczepaniak; and loving father of William (Cleat), Michael (Cathy), David and Timothy Szczepaniak.

"Dza-Dza" will be sadly missed by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Mitchell Sepaniak, Frances Murrman and the late Gertrude Zidel and Veronica Shaffer. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

<B>SZCZEPANIAK </B>— Family and friends of Walter "Whitey" F. Szczepaniak, who died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Friday at <B>SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME</B>, 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Guardian Angel Parish.
