Slippery Rock University’s men’s soccer team received a goal from four different players — including Slippery Rock High product Michael Ramirez and Seneca Valley graduate Stephen McConahy — in a 4-0 road win at the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown on Wednesday.

Also scoring for The Rock (6-1-1, 1-1) were Stephen Donnelly and Zach Hall.

SRU’s defense allowed just one shot on goal.

Women’s SoccerCailin Conner scored a game-tying goal in the 74th minute of play, but SRU went on to drop a 2-1 decision to Gannon University in Erie.The defeat snapped a four-game win streak for The Rock (5-2-1, 4-2-1).

Women’s Field HockeyLindsay Brown scored twice, but SRU lost 3-2 at Indiana (Pa.) University.Courtney Lee made three saves for The Rock (3-6), which has now lost four straight contests.
