Zelienople approves next Glade Run phase; cancels next meeting
ZELIENOPLE — Borough council signed off on the next phase of the Glade Run residential development during a meeting Monday, Aug. 25, at Passavant Retirement Community.
The approval was for Phase 3A of the project, which will allow for the construction of 35 residential dwelling units. The entire third phase will bring in 59 single-family homes and 19 townhomes for a total of 78 units.
Meanwhile, phase four, which was also split into two parts by the developers, will include 60 single-family units and 39 townhomes for a total of 99 units.
The plan still includes seven phases, according to borough engineer Tom Thompson.
Both phases are set to be located just off Beaver Street. The street is being used for entry and exit points.
The first two phases of the development have been completed, and the lots have been sold.
In all, the project calls for the construction of 411 residential units on 252 acres of land.
■ approved a special event application for the Zelienople Fall Festival, which is scheduled to take place Oct. 10, through Oct. 12.
■ gave a green light to advertise for a part-time laborer position in the borough’s water department.
■ canceled the Monday, Sept. 8, meeting.
The next Zelienople council meeting will take place Monday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. at the municipal building.
