Julia M. Simpson
Julia Maxine Simpson, 80, of Chicora Medical Center passed away at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the medical center following a period of failing health. She and her husband formerly lived in Penn Township, near Butler.
She was born in East Brady on Jan. 13, 1930, and was a daughter of the late Albert Ross Wiles and Catherine Mae Foringer Wiles.
She had attended Middlesex United Methodist Church, while living there and then attended the Rimersburg and Lawsonham United Methodist churches as well as New Athens Church of God of Prophecy.
She was a homemaker but was employed at times at Glenshaw Glass, the Owens Glass plant in Clarion and Eccles Nursery in Rimersburg.
She enjoyed playing bingo and Yahtzee with her grandchildren and crocheting.
She was married to Eugene C. "Bum" Simpson in Sligo by the Rev. Al Wolf on Feb. 23, 1946. He survives along with a son, Eugene C. Simpson Jr. and his wife, Sandy L., of Rimersburg; two daughters, Pamala M. Brown and her husband, Robert L., of Rimersburg and Sherry J. Brown and her husband, William R., of Connellsville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter W. Wiles and his wife, June, of East Brady and Vern Wiles of East Brady; four sisters, Margaret Heginbotham and her companion, Sam Cassese, of East Brady, Eileen Wissinger and her husband, Earl, of Kittanning, Genevieve Zellers of East Brady and Jinny DeLano and her husband, James, of Somerset; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ricky A. Simpson, on July 15, 2000; and three sisters, Mrs. Jean Murray, Mrs. Rosie Young and Mrs. Susie Schreckengost.

Hillis Funeral Home </B>in Rimersburg on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church on Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. Funeral services will be at Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church near Rimersburg at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev.
