New state troopers graduate from academy
Pennsylvania State Police’s 173rd Cadet Class graduated Friday, Aug. 22, with 59 new troopers set to join the force next month.
Gov. Josh Shapiro and Col. Christopher Paris, commissioner for state police, welcomed the new troopers into the ranks Friday in Manheim. According to state police, the ceremony celebrated the completion of six months of training.
The new troopers will begin working with their assigned troops on Sept. 2. None of the graduating class were assigned to Troop D, which covers Butler County.
