SRU earns cyber defense designation
The National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity, a program within the National Security Agency, has awarded Slippery Rock University its CAE-CD Cyber Defense designation, for its Bachelor of Science in cybersecurity degree program.
The CAE-CD indicates that SRU’s program meets the standards for cybersecurity curriculum focused on cyber defense, skills development among students and faculty, as well as engagements addressing cybersecurity education challenges for securing the national digital landscape.
SRU began offering a cybersecurity degree program in 2019 and since then it has undergone continuous evaluation.
The university’s cybersecurity program can be completed in 120 credit hours with 60 credits in the major and two concentrations, including secure software development and security governance.
