One person was airlifted to Presbyterian Hospital after a multi-vehicle accident in Forward Township reportedly resulted in two people being entrapped.

According to emergency dispatchers, the multi-vehicle accident occurred around 5:10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, near 1620 Evans City road in Forward Township between two vehicles. Dispatchers said bystanders were attempting to pull people from a vehicle.

Fire police were later requested to assist in closing Route 68 at Brownsdale Road.

Around 6 p.m., a helicopter with a patient was airborne to UMPC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
