Allegheny Health Network’s Wexford Hospital has again earned a 5-star rating from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and is the only hospital in western Pennsylvania to receive a 5-star rating.

The honor recognizes the hospital’s commitment to providing safe, effective and patient-centered care at the highest level.

The Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating was launched by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in 2014 and rates hospitals across five areas of quality, including mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience and timeliness.
