BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College is offering a 10-week mini semester for Feb. 11 through May 4. All courses are three credits and are offered online.
Students who didn’t have the opportunity to start the regular 14-week semester in January can still start college this spring by registering for the mini semester.
Students can choose from 12 transferable courses including Principles of Management, Computer Information Systems, English, U.S. History, and General Psychology.

Dinner will benefit police K-9 programLYNDORA — A spaghetti dinner will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Tanglewood Center with proceeds benefiting the Butler police K-9 program.Tickets are $8.50 per person and are available at the city police station, the Tanglewood Center and select city merchants.The fundraiser is sponsored by the city police, the Tanglewood Center and Denny Offstein Auto Sales.In less than a year, more than $85,000 has been raised to fund the city’s police dog program.
