Karen Scott

Karen D. Scott, 73, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025.

She was born in Butler Sept. 15, 1951, and was the daughter to the late William and Margaret (Brown) Plunkard.

She attended Butler High School and was employed as a prep cook for numerous years at many places. Karen loved to cook, loved listening to Elvis and was a lover of all animals. She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.

Karen was the beloved wife of the late Robert Scott (2021); mother of numerous stepchildren; sister of Robert (Marsha) Brown, William (Angie), David (Alma) Plunkard, and Lynnette (Brent) Funkhouser; grandmother of many stepgrandchildren; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; many friends; and her beloved dogs, Suzie and Coco; and cat, Ugmo.

Along with her parents and husband, Karen was preceded in death by her siblings, Gary (Mary) Plunkard, and Ted and Trudy Funkhouser.

SCOTT — Family and friends of Karen D. Scott, who died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A closing prayer will immediately follow in the funeral home.
