John William Fetchen
John William Fetchen, 69, of Chambersburg, formerly of Cranberry Township, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Nov. 29, 1949, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John and Rose Rushby Fetchen.
John was a graduate of Langley High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh.
He was employed with Giant Eagle Markets, retiring after 47 years.
He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity; enjoyed woodcarving, camping, and cruises; and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Morse Fetchen, whom he married March 31, 1972; two sons, John M. (Jennifer) Fetchen of Waynesboro, Pa., and Benjamin B. (Jaclyn) Fetchen of Finleyville, Pa.; and his canine companion, Nicolai.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Roseann Fetchen.
