Virginia Criley Myers passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024.

The daughter of Bernice and George Criley, Virginia was born July 16, 1937, in Butler County.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church for the last 20 years.

Virginia was a devoted mother. She was a very giving person who helped many people get a new start in life. She was a Girl Scout leader, as well as a team leader at Technical Traffic in New City, N.Y. She was also a volunteer for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed writing short stories with the writers’ group in Cornwall, N.Y. Everyone enjoyed her farm life stories. She was also a member of St. Paul’s Church in Congers, N.Y., for 40 years. There she participated in its yearly fundraiser, which included a Broadway show of acting, dancing and tap dancing. She really enjoyed volunteering.

Virginia is survived by her sister, Judy Schnur; her children, James Myers, Regina Mami, Virginia Lamanna, Christine Lindland, LeeAnne LeMin and Judi Lugano; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial will be held at Herman Fire Hall on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., with a ceremony at the grave site at St. John’s Church Cemetery, 668 Clearfield Road, Fenelton.
