William F. Metzger, 87, of Harmony, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025.

Born Sept. 23, 1937, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late William F. and Mary (Enwright) Metzger.

Bill proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy, a testament to his commitment and dedication. After his service, he went on to have a successful career as a sales executive for Roberts Sinto Corporation, where he built lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

A devout member of Divine Grace Parish, St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, in Zelienople, Bill was also an active participant in his community. He was a member of the Zelienople American Legion Post 474 and the American Foundry Society.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Lori J. Moore (Edward); his son, William J. Metzger (Patty); and his beloved grandchildren, Peyton and Brady Moore. He also is survived by his brothers, Paul L. Metzger and David Hannon.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet H. Metzger, in 2012; and his sister, Margaret (Jerry) Mueller. Together, Bill and Janet shared a life full of love, laughter and cherished memories.

METZGER — Friends and family of William F. Metzger, who died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

An intimate blessing service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at the funeral home, followed by a private grave site burial for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Hospital or the Butler Area Humane Society in Bill’s memory.
