Elliott Acres hosts horse show and fundraiser
Over two dozen riders will show off their skills as part of a horse show and fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 9.
Elliott Acres Therapy Riding is hosting its annual horse show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, at 168 Headland Road, Summit Township. Across three classes, riders will get to share what they learned with their family and friends.
Food and beverages will be available for a donation. Attendees also will be able to participate in a 50/50 raffle and some basket raffles.
According to program president Deb Campbell, the event is the largest and most important fundraiser of the year, bringing in the funds that support the program through the winter.
Elliott Acres is a nonprofit program that looks to provide basic horsemanship lessons and principles for people with special needs. It aims to support emotional, physical and mental health of riders through therapeutic riding.
Attendance at the event is free. More information regarding the event, program and therapeutic riding is available at elliottacrestherapyriding.org.
