David R. Cooper
David R. Cooper, 55, of Butler passed away Wednesday afternoon at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born on April 12, 1958, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Leonard L. and Marjorie M. Shaffer Cooper.
David was a farmer, and he also was employed at Lark Enterprises in New Castle.
He enjoyed farming and animals.
David attended the Zion Baptist Church in Slippery Rock and the Princeton United Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his two aunts, Norma Shaffer Michels and Judith Shaffer, both of New Castle, and several cousins.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle, Thomas R. Shaffer Sr.
Cooper — Visitation for David R. Cooper, who passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Thomas Meling of Zion Baptist Church officiating.
