Imogene E. Murrin

Imogene E. Murrin, 93, of Butler passed away at 2:35 a.m. Friday at Butler Inpatient VNA Hospice.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1920, in Sheffield, Pa., the daughter of the late Andy H. Snyder and the late Valjean Mauk Snyder.

She was a former member of Concord Presbyterian Church, and she had been a nurse at Warren State Hospital.

She is survived by her son, Rick Murrin and his wife, Patricia, of San Jose, Calif.; her two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Betty Hyduke of New Jersey, and several nieces and nephews, including her special niece and caregiver, Connie Geibel of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Crawford, and her two brothers, Franklin Snyder and Vance V. Snyder.

MURRIN — The friends of Imogene E. Murrin, who passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, will be received at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from noon to 1 p.m. Friday. The funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Kevin Channell of Concord Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
