Donald Bruce Phipps, 65, of Prospect, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

Born Oct. 18, 1959, in Butler, he was the son of the late Earl Lester and Viola Mae Stephenson Phipps.

Early on he worked in residential construction and for local trucking entities. He currently was working as a truck driver for McClymonds Supply and Transit.

Don enjoyed motorcycle riding, being outdoors and always working hard at work or at home. He will be remembered for renovating his childhood home these last several years.

He is survived by his wife, Fang Lyu, whom he married Feb. 2, 2017; his son, Joshua (Bobbie Jo) Phipps of Harmony; his grandson, Jaden Phipps; two step daughters, Hui Zi Jin and Yu Yan Ge, both of China; his brother, James (Elena) Phipps of Virginia; and his nephew, Tyler Phipps, and niece, Kayla Phipps, both of New York.

PHIPPS — Family of Donald Bruce Phipps, who died Wednesday, July 30, 2025, will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Presbyterian Church of Prospect, 115 Church St., Prospect, with the Rev. Jason Sinagra officiating.
