Parish bringing rides to Family Festival for the first time

Divine Grace Parish will host its annual Family Festival from Friday to Sunday, Aug. 8 to 10, at Saint Ferdinand Church in Cranberry Township. The community event is open to the public, and this year offers a new attraction — thrill rides.

Divine Grace Parish is partnering this year with Penn Premier Shows to offer thrill rides and games, in addition to other entertainment and activities presented annually.

Festivalgoers can enjoy live music; games of skill and chance, with prizes; food booths; raffle baskets; 50/50 drawings; bingo; nightly meals; a large white elephant sale; and a Kiddieland area with train rides, princess characters and a magician. Tickets will be sold for a $15,000 raffle.

The festival will take place from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.
