Pauline Irene Armstrong
Pauline Irene Armstrong, 79, of Cherry Township passed away Saturday evening at her home.
Born Feb. 5, 1932, in New Hope, Cherry Township, she was the daughter of Jessie S. Ritenour and Nellie Moyer Ritenour.
She married Robert E. Armstrong June 28, 1950, and he preceded her in death Dec. 26, 2000.
She was a lifelong member of the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Harrisville, where she taught Sunday school and volunteered at the Christian Public School in Harrisville for many years.
Pauline enjoyed reading her Bible, attending church functions and visiting with her family.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Robert Armstrong of Slippery Rock; three granddaughters, Cheri Jo Ann (Daniel) Linamen of Harrisville, Leslie Dawn Armstrong of North East and Bobbi Kay (Richard) Atwell of Slippery Rock; two great-granddaughters, Jordyn and Brooke Burnett of Harrisville; a sister, Sadie Miller of Grove City; and a brother, Pete Ritenour of East Brady.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilda Nehus and Esther Miller; a brother, Raymond Ritenour; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Herold Armstrong.
ARMSTRONG — Services for Pauline Irene Armstrong, who died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, will be at the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 443 N. Main St., Harrisville, at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Peter Puliatti of the church and Pastor Allan Moran, former pastor of the church, presiding. Family and friends will be received at
Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
