East Butler, CT roll

Hunter Scott and Tyler Markilinski combined to surrender just one run on four hits in East Butler’s 9-1 Butler County legion baseball win over Cranberry Township Thursday night.

Scott started and pitched the first three innings before Markilinski earned the win by working the last four frames.

Dallas Hays singled and tripled for East Butler, Ryan Grady singled and doubled and Scott and Garrett Banner both singled twice.

Jason Happ accounted for three of Cranberry’s hits with two singles and a double.

Center Township 11, Butler City 1 — Ben Richards, Tyler Kline and Jason Gray combined on a five-inning no-hitter, striking out 12.

Kline had a double, single and scored three runs while Cody Johnson doubled. Dane Milich singled and walked three times.

Nick Ray drew two walks and scored Butler City’s run.
