One of southeastern Butler County’s newest venues has canceled the remainder of events for 2025.

Sprankle Woods announced Monday, July 28, that its 2025 season — including the two-day Sprankle Fest planned for Aug. 15 and 16 — is canceled due to inclement weather.

“As steady rainfall continues across our community and the surrounding region — still reeling from recent severe storms and flooding — it is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the remaining 2025 Sprankle Woods Events season,” a news release said.

The team said the grounds need time to dry out and recover from the damage caused by rain this spring and summer.

“It's remarkable to reflect that just last year, we were watering the grounds to keep dust down — what a stark contrast to this season,” the news release stated.

The release said the organizers did not make this decision lightly and safety of guests was considered.

“We sincerely thank you for your understanding and unwavering support,” the release said. “While large-scale events are no longer feasible for the remainder of this season, we are already looking ahead to 2026.

“We’re excited to reimagine Sprankle Woods Farm with smaller, more intimate experiences that bring together our cherished community of farmers, artisans, and residents.
