The Butler County American Legion Baseball League will hold its annual All-Star Game Saturday at Pullman Park.

Individual scouting tryouts begin at 11 a.m. with the All-Star Game slated for 1 p.m.

Nine team managers selected 40 players for the game. During the tryouts, each player will be timed in the 60-yard dash, infielders and outfielders will perform fielding and throwing skills, and pitchers will have 12 pitches recorded by radar guns.

During the All-Star Game, each player will bat once and will play two defensive innings. Each pitcher will face five batters.

After the game, evaluators will select the top two players at each position and three pitchers. Those 19 players will move on to the Pennsylvania American Legion Baseball Region 7 All-Star Game June 17 at Somerset High School.

Players selected at that event will compete at the Western Regional All-Star Game June 19 at Penn State University.
