Australian man says he created BitcoinLONDON — An Australian man long rumored to be associated with the digital currency Bitcoin has publicly identified himself as its creator, apparently ending one of the biggest mysteries in the tech world.BBC News said Monday that Craig Wright told the media outlet he is the man previously known by the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. The computer scientist, inventor and academic said he launched the currency in 2009 with the help of others.The BBC said Wright had decided to make his identity known to stop the spread of “misinformation.”“I didn’t take the decision lightly to make my identity public and I want to be clear that I’m doing this because I care so passionately about my work and also to dispel any negative myths and fears,” he said.
Nissan will recall about 4 million carsNEW YORK — Nearly four million Nissan cars are being recalled due to major safety problems where passenger air bags or seat belts could fail in a crash, leading to serious injuries or fatalities.The two recalls are just the latest in a string of safety problems to hit automakers in the past year with Acura, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, Honda and other manufactures having to recall cars over air bag problems. The Nissan problems are unrelated to the other air bag issues.Nissan will notify owners of the problem and offer to fix it for free. No schedule has been provided for when these notices will go out or how quickly the repairs can be made.
